Creative therapies are clinical interventions that combine arts modalities, creative processes, and psychosocial principles that help individuals tap into emotions and needs that may be difficult to express through more traditional forms of communication.
Creative therapy focuses on the art, music or movement process as it is produced rather than the final form. How you feel while making your art, playing music or moving your body and what you learn about yourself is the most important thing. Creative Therapy is both a therapeutic and diagnostic tool.
Creative Therapies at Byron Private provide a safe supportive environment where you can;
- Give voice to experiences and feelings not easily expressed by words
- Develop self-awareness and self-esteem
- Work on social skills
- Solve problems through the use of a different perspective

The Byron Private Creative Therapy program of music, art and dance takes place in our beautiful custom-built workshop on our property. It provides a safe space to explore art, music, and movement and your emotions in your own way, either in our beautiful workshop space or out with nature. We keep our therapy program as unstructured and flexible as possible allowing you to engage in creativity at a level that supports your recovery.
Byron Private offers an effective pathway to recovery for those struggling with mental health, addictions, PTSD and eating disorders. If you or someone you love is struggling, please reach out to our clinical team for a confidential discussion on 02 6684 4145 or via our online contact form.
